Great portafilter, looks good and really heavy duty

$220 for a portafilter is not cheap, but this is an example of what you pay for is what you get. The quality of the build is excellent, the design is simplistic yet efficient, and above all else, being able to see the espresso pull its shot is something we all dream of. I would definitely buy a second.

You can tell the Ascaso portafilter is made with quality materials. As soon as you pick it up it feels really nice in the hand. If your looking to match a bottomless portafilter with the spouted Ascaso portafilter this product will look perfect together. However, if you’re just looking for a bottomless portafilter then I would recommend one from crema. It is quite hard to justify the $220 price tag. Now I think the spouted Ascaso portafilter is worth its current price tag, its thermal retention is remarkable. Long story short, this is a really nice product and if your looking to splurge on a nice bottomless portafilter then I would recommend this one. However, the portafilter from crema will be more than satisfactory for half of the price.

It’s fun to watch the espresso form a stream on the coffee basket. It’s easy to clean thoroughly too.

Nothing greater than using a bottomless portafilter and watching the espresso at crema cascade into the glass. Best purchase!!!
